Welcome to Sanderson Middle School

Sanderson Middle School is located on Matthews Road, Darwin. We provide education to years 7, 8 and 9 and we have the only Middle Years Intensive English Unit in the Darwin/Palmerston area.

At Sanderson Middle School, we provide an excellent education in a safe and supportive environment. We encourage our students to be fully prepared to deal with contemporary challenges, while guiding them to act with Respect, Compassion and Integrityand to always give everyone a Fair Go. We ensure that students participate in engaging and authentic learning programs by offering a comprehensive curriculum to meet the needs of every student. Our emphasis is on making sure that what the students are learning is interesting, relevant and achievable with a strong focus on literacy and numeracy.

The Sanderson Trade Center was opened in Semester 2 2020 and offers four VET to year 9 students:
